Ether’s recent projects include:
- Pigeon Poetry
The Red Room Company commissioned eight poets from across the country to each write a poem that would be raced by thoroughbred pigeons on August 3, 2008.
- Uncensor China
Activism to end internet censorship in China. Ether produced three online widgets for web users to help end internet censorship in China.
Produced and developed for Amnesty International Australia.
- Australian Screen
An overview of the Australian film and television industry, from its earliest days to the present. Originally developed for the Australian Film Commission, now managed by the National Film and Sound Archive.
- Parent Rescue
Developed for Iris Pictures and SBS Television.
This site accompanied the TV documentary series screened on SBS TV in September 2007.
- Australian Biography Online
Extraordinary Australians talk about their lives.
Produced and developed by Ether for Film Australia. Based on the Australian Biography TV series this site presents full interview transcripts synched with video rushes as well as a selection of highlights from the TV programs.
- Film Australia Digital Learning – Digital Resource Finder
A curriculum-based search interface for teachers and educators to locate educational video clips from Film Australia’s archive. Each clip is accompanied by a study guide written by Australian curriculum experts.
- The Pure Drop
An exploration and celebration of traditional music.
Funded and supported by the Australian Film Commission, Telstra and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation under the the Australian Government’s Broadband Production Initiative.
- Australians at Work
Produced and developed by Ether for Film Australia. A selection of video clips drawn from Film Australia’s archive showing everyday Australians at work in a variety of contexts. Study guides accompany each clip.
